I have also tweaked the php in some places, but only some elementary stuff. I hope I will be able to do more once I learn PHP properly. Just hoping it is not going to take years. Regarding the flickr thumbnails... check out the source of this page. You can grab that script and use it straight away on you blog, the only thing you need to change is the user number.
