So you are probably asking: “What is Quantify?”
Quantify is collaboration application ideal for project management. How is it different then other project management application on the market? It has unique user interface.
When I was designing the interface I have spent hours thinking what else could be removed from screens and what could be hidden to provide user environment where you can focus on your work without visual clutter.
The design of the application has been influenced by new devices coming on the recent market. Touch screens tablets such an iPad played huge role. The user interface has been designed the way so it could be used on standard computers and touch screen devices as well.
I am planing to build the application in phases. Each phase will bring new features and functionality. It will start with quite a striped off version which will include users/projects/tasks, you will be able to assign tasks, set deadlines. The next phase should bring possibility to upload documents to tasks. Time tracking, invoicing should follow in later phases.
So the question was. Could it compete with Basecamp? Probably not but it’s a good challenge to take ;) I like Bascamp and all philosophies of 37 signals are very close to me so if you have expected controversial article this is not the one. There is a space for many project management applications on the market and I hope Quantify will find its customer thanks to the interface.
If you like the what you see you can sing in here to be informed about the launch.
