What is in your bag?

by Roman Leinwather

Since I become freelancer I started to travel even more then before. I usually work from different place every single day. Yeah, I even work on weekends, don’t you? Just kidding. I work during the weekends but not huge hours. When you move around like this you need a good bag where you can keep all the necessary stuff. I have bought crumpler bag quite a few years ago. The quality is so great that it’s almost like new when I take it out of washing machine now and then.

So the title of the article is: What is in your bag?

I would be curios to know what do you keep with you all the time. I obviously take my laptop (MAC Book Pro 15″). No mouse. I have talked about this before. Most of the design work I do I do not use mouse. I always keep my iPhone and iPod with me. Lately I listen to audio books on my ipod. (Rework, Crush It, Sticking Point) but I also listen to quite a few podcast while I travel. Just lately I have decide to take my camera with me every single day. I have got Canon 400D with long and short glass. Do not ask me technical details I have not done my home work ;) I start taken the camera because I have realized I hardly use it anymore except holidays and that is not good. The camera is pretty big and heavy but who cares, my bag is heavy anyway. I forgot to mention that I keep there one of my last paper bags which I plan to read couple of times. The book is called The Elements of Typographic style. Why is it one of the last paper books I own? Because I owned Sony eReader and now I am waiting for iPad. By the way, does any of you know if they have them in Vienna? I seriously need to get one pretty soon ;)

So what is in yours?

I am adding few pictures I have taken today while I was relaxing next to the river. Hope you like them.
